Two cards are dealt face down to each player and the first betting round takes place. The first player to the left of the dealer (the dealer is the player with the deal marker) makes the "small blind" bet, one-half the minimum bet (but no less than $1.00), without looking at the cards. The player to the left of the small blind makes the "big blind" bet, an amount equal to the minimum bet. At the end of the hand the dealer disk moves to the next player to the left.
On the first round, players can only Call or Raise the blind bets, or Fold, with the exception of the big blind bettor, who may check instead of calling if betting comes back to him on the first round without raises from other players. After the first round of betting, three cards called the Flop, are dealt face up in the center of the table. There is another round of betting. On this and each succeeding round, players may Check if no one has bet when it is their turn to play. Then a fourth card called the Turn, is turned over and there is another round of betting. Then the last card, known as the River, is turned over followed by the last round of betting. The winning hand is the best five-card poker hand using any combination of the player's two cards and the five common cards.
In No Limit there is no maximum bet limit, and you can bet all your chips anytime you like (called going 'All-In'). You cannot raise the bet by an amount smaller than what any previous player bet or raised in the current round. NOTE: If a player cannot match a bet, instead of folding as he would be forced to do in a limit game, he may stay in the hand by going All-In. In this case, a side pot is created that contains money bet by other players which that player could not match. The player is not eligible to win from this side pot.
